Julian Knörzer

Julian Knörzer (Freiburg) studied music education and choir conducting (MH-Freiburg,
RAMA Vocal Center). As a beatboxer, singer, choir director and arranger, he is active in the
German vocal scene (including UNDUZO, Acoustic Instinct, Jazzchor Freiburg, Twäng!, Senior
Jazzchor) and works internationally as a lecturer. In beatboxing, he specialized in accompanying
vocal ensembles, which led him to publish the teaching book "Beatbox Your Choir -
Chöre und Vocal Groups perfekt begleiten" (Schott) in 2015. Julian Knörzer teaches jazz/pop
choir conducting beatboxing at the University of Music Freiburg, the University of Music Tübingen
and the University of Music Trossingen. In addition to his teaching activities and active
concert life, he co-founded the vocal music festival Black Forest Voices in 2019.
